Background

PROFIT is an abbreviation for ProductionFirm of Igor Tolstunov. It was formed in 1995 as a joint venture between the named film producer and NTV channel, and later became privately owned. In 2014 all rights to the developed projects were transferred to Central Partnership.

1st Logo (31 August 1997-1999)

Logo: A strip made of small NTV logos moves vertically while at the left, light reveal the black and white Profit logo, and they both are taken into a box. Then the NTV line stops moving.

Technique: Simple light effects.

Music/Sounds: A dramatic fanfare.

Availability: Rare, was seen on the film Vor (Thief) made in 1997.

2nd Logo (2000-2001)

Logo: Many blue rays start beaming from the surface, which then moves to reveal the shining bluish NTV logo with "Profit" attached below.

Technique: Light effects, not bad for these years.

Music/Sounds: Different bass and violin theme with a 10-note passage.

Availability: Rare.

3rd Logo (2001-)

Logo: We see a blue film reel and several filmstrips moving until two of them pass horizontally and condense into single trembling filmstrip with the current PROFIT logo upon. Then it transforms into the print red and white version.

Technique: Full CGI.

Music/Sounds: An epic fanfare with stock orchestral build-ups.

Availability: Can be seen on most current productions.
