Background

This is Steven S. Levitan and Paul Bronfman's production company. It was formed in 1993 by Steven S. Levitan and Paul Bronfman.

1st Logo (December 1, 1994-June 18, 2002)

Nicknames: "'90s P", "The P Box", "The P Cube"

Logo: On a space background, a white box with a light purple shade spins out. The zoom-out stops on the top of the screen, revealing a blue "P" surrounded by lines and circles, and the words "PROTOCOL ENTERTAINMENT" zoom in at the bottom of the screen, in gray. Then the company name shines as a star rises up from below to above.

FX/SFX: The box zoom out, the company name zooming in.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on VHS and DVD releases of Goosebumps. Early episodes of The Saddle Club also used this logo. It also appeared on Police Academy: The Series. This didn't appear on Animorphs, which only had an in-credit reference.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (2002-2003)

Logo: On a purple background, we see the "Protocol" letters in different colors while "Entertainment" is in a normal font.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on season 2 of The Saddle Club.

3rd Logo (2003-2005)

Logo: On a blue background, we see the "Protocol" letters in a Tele-Marines font in different colors. Lights arrive to fill the letters as "Entertainment" fades in from the left.

Variant: On later episodes of Train 48, the background is a darker blue color.

FX/SFX: The lights filling the letters and the "Entertainment" fading in from the left.

Music/Sounds: A rising orchestral fanfare. On later episodes of Train 48, it's shortened.

Availability: Seen on Train 48.

4th Logo (2008- )

Nicknames: "The Three Rectangles", "The Tape Reel"

Logo: A white light turns on, revealing a white background. Suddenly, a circle with three rounded rectangles, green, purple, and blue, making a tape reel, flashes out and reveals a light inside it. The circle fades away, and the text:

P R O T O C O L

______________
ENTERTAINMENT

fades in. The three Os in "PROTOCOL" are the same colors as the rectangles, but fade away quickly.

FX/SFX: Nice CGI.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Appears on The Saddle Club on HRTV, and the game for Nintendo DS with the same name. Also seen on the TV movie Turn the Beat Around from 2010.
