Background

Puppet Combo is a video game company that specializes in survival horror games in the fashion of 1980s slasher films. Some of their games have the word "night" in their titles.

1st Logo (201?-)

Logo: A fuchsia grid appears on a black background and moves across the screen. It then zooms out and splits into two white grids as the background becomes a blue starfield. A black-and-white picture of four slasher film-inspired characters zooms in and flashes, and the purple words "PUPPET COMBO" appears, with a TM symbol next to it. The words change colors 4 times in sync with the music, then become purple again. Finally, the logo zooms out with a trail effect, and we fade to black.

Technique: Scanimate-style computer animation.

Music/Sounds: A '80s-esque synthesized theme. It starts with a held-out synth note, then some synth warbling is heard, followed by a held-out synth drone. After the logo forms, 4 synth notes play. The notes repeat 3 times, with the last 2 notes on the final repeat having a higher tone. Finally, we hear 3 drum beats.

Availability: Appears on Night Watch, and presumably some more games from the company. Some games, like Night Ripper, have no logo.

2nd Logo (201?)

flip in on a black background. The words are white with a color-changing drop shadow. The words then flip out.

Technique: Scanimate-style computer animation.

Music/Sounds: None.
