Background

QRZ Media was an American Television Production Company that was founded in 1995.

1st Logo (September 11, 1995-1997)

Logo: On a cloudy background, we see the big words "QRZ". It flashes red and blue colors. The cloudy background fades to black and the words "MEDIA" fading in below.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: A techno theme with police sirens.

Availability: Seen on early episodes of LAPD: Life on the Beat.

2nd Logo (1997-July?, 1999)

Logo: On a purple-black gradient background, we see a black box, then a gray triangle wipes in followed by a purple triangle outline then another gray triangle outline. Three circles appear, representing the words "Q", "R", and "Z". Two stylized bolts flash and the words "MEDIA" appears.

Technique: 2D Animation.

Music/Sounds: A synth drone when the logo appears, then a Morse Code sound appears when the words "QRZ" appears and ends at a laser zap when the bolts flash.

Availability: Seen on later episodes of LAPD: Life on the Beat.

3rd Logo (July?-September 10, 1999)

Logo: On a red-yellow background has a bell ringing then fades into eagles flying and live-action footage we see a QRZ with the red color font in Copperplate font with the shining then The background is white then again fades into green background then MEDIA text appears zooming in. The logo then fades out.

Technique: 2D Animation.

Music/Sounds: A four note chime tune a long one note orchestra tune at the end.

Availability: Seen on final episodes of LAPD: Life on the Beat.
