(1992-1995, 1997)

Logo: On a dune background with wind and sand blowing, we see a rectangle with the animation of a big wave. Then the text "RCS" cuts out the screen and sets under it. The rectangle returns as normal, and shrinks to have a bold dash; while the rest becomes a book with the right side page turned up. The logo turns in a golden color and shines.

Variant: On the Jewels miniseries, there's a short variant, in which the shining part is only shown.

FX/SFX: The dune background, the footage of the waves, the text cutting out, the rectangle changing into the logo, the shining.

Music/Sounds: An orchestral synth drone at the beginning, with an arpeggio once "RCS" cuts out and a synth flute theme when the logo forms. A shimmering synth note at the end.

Availability: Appeared on Italian VHS prints distributed by RCS, like The Last of the Mohicans. The variant appeared on Jewels (1992).
