Background
RKO-Pathé Pictures was founded in 1931 after RKO acquired Pathé Exchange, until it was completely shuttered in 1932 and was folded into RKO Radio Pictures.
(1931-1932)
Nickname: "The Globe and the Rooster"
Logo: On a cloudy tower, we see a rotating globe with a rooster on top, similar to the RKO logo. While the earth is rotating, the rooster spreads his wings. The rooster crows, and the words "AN RKO-Pathé PICTURE" appear in the middle.
FX/SFX: The clouds (like the 3rd Warner Bros. logo), the earth moving.
Music/Sounds: The rooster crowing.
Availability: Seen on newsreels from the era. Also seen on Sweepstakes.
