Background
Radiodiffusion-Télévision Française (RTF) was the French national public broadcaster television organization established on 9 February 1949 to replace the post-war "Radiodiffusion Française" (RDF). It was replaced then by the notionally less strictly government-controlled Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision Française (ORTF) on 26 June 1964.
(February 1959-June 27, 1964)
Logo: On a black background, several lines fold in to form ellipses. The ellipses then flatten, becoming lines which form a ray shape together and turn towards the screen to form a 3D rotating ellipse outline. The ellipse then becomes a 2D oval before splitting into 3 that form a atom-like shape. The text "RTF" zooms in from the center of the shape, and "Télévision" in a cursive font appears below.
Technique: Very choppy cel animation.
Music/Sounds: A bombastic orchestral theme.
Availability: Extinct.
