Intro (1990s)
Visuals: On a dark blue background, a communications satellite zooms out from the screen, shooting out a laser ray and a signal downwards. The screen then shows, respectively:
- The planet Earth spinning on a black background,
- A rotating satellite dish on a yellow linear platform receiving the signal, in which the screen zooms into it,
- A television transmitter receiving and transmitting the signal, in which the screen moves upwards, and
- A tilted, zoomed-in projection of the world spinning to the right, showing the Indian Ocean and its surrounding territories.
Afterwards, a light blue-green projection of the world map stretches from the left of the screen and fills it. The world map fades out, and a green map of Africa on a black background, with a flag map of Mali inside of it, simultaneously fades in, after which the background becomes blue. A lavender-green map of westernmost Africa with a yellow map of Mali inside of it zooms in from the top-left corner of the screen, and a black dot with black lines continuously coming out of it is seen inside the Malian map, representing Bamako, the country's capital city. The following black text on a white background:

wipes in from the top on the Malian map, stays for a few seconds, and then wipes out from the left. The whole thing zooms out from the screen.
Technique: A combination of CGI and computer animation.
Audio: An excerpt of "Souvenirs" by Voyage.
