Background

Ditari was the flagship news program for Radio Television of Pristina (RTP) during Kosovo's Yugoslav period.

1st Intro (1970s-1980)

Visuals: A globe spins over a black background. The RTP logo appears from the top left of the globe, followed by "DITARI TV" on the bottom right. Both the logo and text leave a trail behind as the globe continues spinning.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A triumphant and calm fanfare.

2nd Intro (1980-1992)

Visuals: A navy blue background is shown, where a horizontally slanted rectangle with three lines (from left to right, green, red and blue) zooms in and expands from the center. The rectangle moves down to the bottom half of the screen, with its horizon point positioned to the right. A rotating globe with indigo oceans and olive green landmass zooms in and places itself over the rectangle. Then, white text reading "TVP" (written in the same typefont as the RTP logo from the time) zooms in from the globe, flipping vertically before zooming out as it places itself left of the globe. After that, "DITARI", written in red with a white outline, emerges from the rectangle's center line and zooms in whilst turning left.

Variants:

  • An abridged variant exists.
  • Sometimes, "DITARI" is replaced with "LAJMET".
  • There also exists a Serbian language variant, where "ТВП" (written in a different typeface) is used instead and "ДНЕВНИК" replaces "DITARI"/"LAJMET".

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A repeating synth apreggio, succeeded with a high-pitched sci-fi esque synth piece. A whoosh and rising electronic sound are also heard, each of which respectively accompany the globe and title zooming in.
