Background
Rabotnik TV (usually written using the Russian word Раьотник, meaning "worker") was a Dutch pirate television channel operated from a bedroom in Amsterdam since 1982. The channel was started after the closure of P.K.P. TV, which ran from 1980 to 1982.
(1982)
Logo: An image of two shadowy figures, one male and one female, are standing, there are a series of lines at either side of the image. The text "Раьотник TV" is seen at the top, with a small red star next to the text. After a short while, the image changes to a more colourful image, with the figures and lines now cut out to reveal colours behind them, as well as the text and star, which have also lowered slightly. This repeats several times.
Variants: There is a shortened version which only shows the first part of the logo without the image changing.
Technique: Two images were printed on a wall and recorded with a camera.
Music/Sounds: A variety of punk music, such as "We Love You" by Cock Sparrers.
Availability: Seen on "rabotnik tv 2nd 28 03 1982" and the image can also be seen on "Revoluzion".
