Background
Rainbow Audio & Video Incorporation was a home video distributor based in San Fransisco, California. It distributed Chinese-language films in the US.
1st Logo (1988)
Logo: On a black background, multicolored segmented stripes of the colors blue, green and red fly to the center. The stripes draw a tricolored "R" (blue, green and red). After the stripes fly away from view, white lines appear below the "R", forming the Chinese and English name. The text flashes, causing the background to turn white. The text turns black.
Technique: 2D animation.
Music/Sounds: The last part of the 1978 Golden Harvest theme, followed by a cut-off horn fanfare ("Fanfare Showcase No. 6", composed by Peter Reno and Jack Trombey)
Availability: It was seen on a 1988 VHS of No Compromise.
