Background
Red Granite Pictures is an American film finance and distribution company, co-founded by Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland in 2010. It was dissolved in 2018 after being implicated in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad corruption scandal.
Logo (December 25, 2013-2018)
Visuals: A black background is being painted circle with red paint, which also spins following it, while we also see the CG text "RED GRANITE" (also in red) with smaller "PICTURES" below it above the spinning circle paint. After the painting ends, the screen zooms-out from the logo, while it placed its position itself.
Variant: On international prints of She's Funny That Way, the word "PICTURES" is replaced with "INTERNATIONAL".
Technique: CGI.
Audio:
- On The Wolf of Wall Street, it's a majestic tune similar to the 1993 Columbia Pictures fanfare.
- Later, it was re-arranged with different notes and sounds more "powerful". This version was composed by Musikvergnuegen.
