Background

This is the production company of Allen Reid and Mady Land.

1st Logo (March 8, 1983-1996)

Logo: On a pink-blue gradient background with a lilac purple line in the middle, going horizontally, a dark blue scribble zooms in towards the viewer very quickly. Just when it comes to a stop, the parts of the text "Reid/Land Productions", which is in a rather 50s-esque cursive font called "Airstream" (and with "Reid" in yellow and "Land" in red), fly downward and upward to the center. The text appears diagonally, except for "Productions". The scribble also turns into an outlined rectangle at the end.

Variants:

  • On 10 Seconds, the logo is on a silver background and appears within the show's panels.
  • On The Desserts Show, the logo is superimposed on a picture of dessert.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show plays in the background as an announcer says, "(show name) is a Reid/Land production."

Availability: Extinct on TV, but it can be found on tapes of TNN's shows, such as the game shows Fandango, Top Card, and 10 Seconds.

2nd Logo (1996-1998)

Logo: On a space background, we see a gray rectangle with "Reid/Land Productions", this time colored blue, and in the Copperplate font, with a red line between "Reid/Land" and "Productions". The logo turns about 90 degrees until it gets into a 20th Century Fox-esque position (except in the opposite direction), and the logo sends off flashes.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: See the previous logo. On Great American Desserts, a synth tune is heard.

Availability: Might turn up on TNN shows from this era. Appeared on the PBS show Great American Desserts.
