Background
Reliance Entertainment is a production and film-financing company originally based in India, and is a subsidiary of the Indian conglomerate Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. They have a 20% investment in Amblin Partners.
1st Logo (2011-2013)
Nickname: "The Rectangle"
Logo: On a black background, a gradient blue rectangle fades in. In it is the text "ReLIΛNCe". The A has a red triangle in it. The rectangle slowly zooms in and shines. "Entertainment" fades in below the rectangle.
Variant: A still variant has been spotted on some films, as well as Electric City.
FX/SFX: The shining.
Music/Sounds: Either an Indian-style theme (which is Reliance's signature jingle) with synths, drumbeats and a male chorus singing wordlessly, a creepy rising synth with scraping sounds, none, or the opening theme of the movie.
Availability: Uncommon. Likely found on films produced by this company.
Editor's Note: None.
2nd Logo (December 20, 2013- )
Nickname: "The Bridge"
Logo: At dawn, we pan out from an ocean and zoom by a bridge. The sun appears, revealing a red tower shaped like the shape under the A in the 1st logo. As we zoom slowly onto the roadway, we see 2 more towers like the first one. We get on the highway and zoom out to see some wires. A sunburst occurs and a silver abstract A is seen as "RELI NCE" flips in beside the A. The sunburst dies down and "ENTERTAINMENT" appears below the company name.
Variant:
- A still version was seen on some films.
- On The House with a Clock in its Walls, it has a slight tint of yellow. It cuts out early after it forms as usual.
- On 1917, it is blue-tinted.
FX/SFX: Very nice CGI, done by Filmograph.
Music/Sounds: A majestic reorchestrated version of the previous logo's Indian-style theme, with repeating synth piano notes at the end.
Music/Sounds Variant: On the THwaCiiW version, the tick-tocking sounds is heard over it. The bell starts tolling to sync with the logo cutting to black and the following opening credits.
Availability: Current and fairly common. Was first seen on Walking with Dinosaurs 3D. It has been seen on American films co-produced by this company like Bridge of Spies, The BFG, The Light Between Oceans, and Office Christmas Party.
Editor's Note: It's a beautiful logo.
3rd Logo (201?)
