Background

Renegade Software was a successful UK-based games publisher, founded in 1991 by The Bitmap Brothers. Initially, the studio used the label to publish their own games, after they had become dissatisfied with the practices of their previous publisher, Mirrorsoft. In 1995, Renegade Software was purchased in an acquisition by Time Warner Entertainment, and was merged with WarnerActive into Warner Interactive, although the Renegade brand was still used on some titles.
