Background

This is the production company and record label of British-American born Robert Stigwood. It was founded in 1973, and went defunct in 1983.

1st Logo (March 19, 1975-July 2, 1980)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a red cow with the word "RSO" in a script font.

Variants:

  • On Tommy, the background is orange to match the end credits.
  • On Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the words "FILMS, INC." appears below.
  • On Fame, Airplane! and Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (all 1980), the logo is in-credit.

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: None or the opening/closing theme to the movie.

Availability: Seen on Tommy, Saturday Night Fever and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Also seen on Fame, Airplane! and Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back at the end credits (even though Robert Stigwood has no involvement with those films.)
