Background

This is the production company of actor, comedian, film director, and writer Robert Townsend.

The Townsend Entertainment Corporation

(September 6, 1995-July 25, 1999)

Logo: On a forest green background, we see a thin light green rectangle surrounding another rectangle, encasing a transparent cloud that in itself features a set of clouds moving through the sky. On top of the transparent cloud, we see the words:

The Townsend Entertainment Corporation

Underneath the words "Entertainment Corporation" is a gray-white line that shines from left to right as the clouds in the background are constantly moving.

Variant: On Season 2, episode 1 of The Parent 'Hood, a 6-note bongo drum tune is heard. The clouds are moving in the opposite direction and there is no shine effect on the rectangle.

FX/SFX: The clouds moving and the shining of the gray-white line underneath the words "Entertainment Corporation."

Music/Sounds: A 5-note piano theme.

Availability: Currently seen on all post-S1 episodes of The Parent 'Hood on Bounce TV.

Editor's Note: None.
