Background
Rocket Pictures is a production company owned by the songwriter and performer Elton John. Although it was formed in 1996, it didn't use a logo until 2006.
1st Logo (15 September-26 December 2006)
Visuals: There is a crudely-drawn rocket ship blasting off of the moon, then flying around various planets, soon slowing down while the words "rocket pictures" form from the smoke trail behind it.
Variant: A short version exists.
Technique: 2D digital animation.
Audio: All that can be heard are jet engine sounds as the rocket flies.
Availability: Found on the failed pilot of Him & Us, as well as It's a Boy Girl Thing.
2nd Logo (11 February 2011)
Visuals: On a polished wood background, there is a retro-looking neon sign reading "ROCKET" and "PICTURES" in a smaller face, all in a stylized font. The logo starts with the camera panning across the sign as it flickers before turning completely on. "PICTURES" lights up a few seconds after "ROCKET" does.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: An airy noise with electric sounds, then the opening riff to "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" when the logo is fully shown.
Availability: Seen only on Gnomeo and Juliet.
3rd Logo (23 March 2018-)
Visuals: On a black background, several golden stars zoom past us. A golden light comes through, and the camera zooms through a nebula as the star illuminates the rotating gold text "ROCKET", with "PICTURES" below it in a smaller and different font. A blue nebula shines behind the company name, and it askews for a few seconds. Then, several copies of the name zoom in front of us, turning the space background into a parchment-like color, and "ROCKET" zooms in. The background then fades to the first scene of the movie.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: The opening theme of the movie.
Availability: First seen on the Gnomeo and Juliet sequel Sherlock Gnomes, as well as Rocketman.
