Background
Runteas Pich Production was a Cambodian film company founded in 1961 by film director and theater owner Ly Bun Yim. Throughout its lifespan, they made fifteen films before the Khmer Rouge took over Cambodia on April 17, 1975. During their regime, there was a purge; Yim escaped but only saved three of the films.
