Background

This is Martin Lawrence's vanity card.

1st Logo (August 2, 2002)

Logo: Against a black and white footage of a live concert, there are blue searchlights waving around and a transparent filmstrip with multiple blurry lines underneath. Soon after, a headless figure wearing a green cap and purple shorts appears and runs from the left of the screen with a filmstrip following it. The background footage freezes and gains color when the figure stops. Underneath the figure and the now blurry filmstrip, "RUN", "TEL" and "DAT" in white quickly slides in one by one with a motion blur effect. When this text shines, "ENTERTAINMENT" fades in below before the whole name shines again. Then, the screen flashes, causing the figure to proceed running and the filmstrip to continue following it and the text fades out from the beginning of the letter.

Variant: Both an open-matte and in-credit version exists.

Technique: The background footage, the searchlights, the figure running, the filmstrip's movements, and the text appearing.

Music/Sounds: Several whooshes, electronic zooms, and bangs.

Availability: Only seen on Martin Lawrence Live: Runteldat.

2nd Logo (January 19, 2010-September 25, 2014)

Logo: On a white background, an outline of the same figure from before rapidly slides in from the right. The filmstrip slides in as well but is now shorter and next to the figure's shoe. And finally, "RUNTELDAT ENTERTAINMENT" with a trademark enters the screen with the same animation as before.

Variant: A still version exists.

Technique: The figure, filmstrip, and text sliding in.

Music/Sounds: Multiple quick, high-pitched whooshes or the closing theme.

Availability: Seen on Love That Girl! and Partners (2014).

3rd Logo (June 16, 2022-)

Logo: Nearly identical as before except the figure is more stylized and mostly a black silhouette, the filmstrip's coloring is inverted, and the text is in Arial, italicized, and appears below the figure. All of this is slightly closer to the screen.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Brand new. Seen on Martin: The Reunion.
