The Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (commonly known as SAG-AFTRA, but stylized as SAG•AFTRA) is an American labor union representing approximately 160,000 film and television actors, journalists, radio personalities, recording artists, singers, voice actors, internet influencers, fashion models, and other media professionals worldwide. The organization was formed on March 30, 2012, following the merger of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG, created in 1933) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA, created in 1937 as the American Federation of Radio Artists, gaining a "T" in 1952 after its merger with the Television Authority). SAG-AFTRA is a member of the AFL-CIO, the largest federation of unions in the United States.

1st Logo (January 21, 2000-July 3, 2020)

Visuals: On a white circle shield with another one in the middle, there is "SCREEN ACTORS GUILD" arranged in a circle shaped layout matching its shapes, with stars seperating the words. In the middle, there are two faces connected together looking to the left and right, both happy and sad, respectively.

Availability: First seen on American Psycho and last appeared on The Outpost. On some 2012-2020 films after they merged to form SAG-AFTRA, the Screen Actors Guild logo is used in place of the SAG-AFTRA logo.

Availability: Spotted on the 2005 SAG Awards. It is unknown if it was seen on any shows, films, specials or other ceremonies from the era.

Visuals: On a gold outlined rectangle, there is "SAG-AFTRA ONE UNION" in a modern font with sharp edges in gold. They are stacked in two rows.

Variants:

  • There is a more common variant in print form.
  • Sometimes, the colors of above variant are inverted.

Audio: The ending theme of the movie or none.

Availability: It was seen on movies at the time. It appeared on Hail, Caesar!, released in February 5, 2016 and Gods of Egypt, released in February 26, 2016. It reappeared again on The Upside, released in January 11, 2019 and made its final appearance on Marriage Story, released in November 6, 2019. It once again made a reappearance on Megalopolis, released in September 27, 2024.
