Background

SD Pictures was a Cambodian film company.

1st Logo (1988-1990s?)

Visuals: On a dark background with spinning colorful lights, there is a darkened statue. The screen zooms out from the statue, which brightens, revealing it to be a golden statue of a winged figure (probably a kinnara, a creature from Hindu-Buddhist mythology). After the screen zooms out to a comfortable position, the company name appears, which consists of the Khmer name in a yellow font to the sides of the statue and the yellow three-dimensional letters "SD" below the statue. Below "SD" is a white rectangle with "PICTURES" on it.

Technique: Live action and practical animation.

Audio: A royal sounding fanfare.

Availability: Seen on Kra Ob Tae Klun
