Background
SIMS was originally started in June 1991 as a joint venture between game developer Sanritsu and game publisher Sega. It not only developed games, but also published games as well. In 2004, it became an independent corporation.
1st Logo (1992)
Visuals: On a black background, there is a white egg. Standing on the right is the text "SIMS" in a crystalized-like font, and next to it was the text "CO., LTD.".
Variant: Most of the time, the logo appears within the title screen.
Technique: A still, sprite-based graphic.
Audio: None.
Availability: The standard logo was seen on Junker's High, which was the prototype version of OutRun 2019. The in-credit version appears on Alien Syndrome for Game Gear and Tecmo World Cup '92 for Sega Genesis.
2nd Logo (1992-1994)
Visuals: On a white background, a grey outline of an egg rises up. Then is the same text from the previous logo fading in, only in blue.
Variant: Most of the time, the logo is still.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: None.
Availability: The standard logo appears on Capcom no Quiz - Tonosama no Yabou. It also appears OutRun 2019 for Sega Genesis, Kick & Rush for Game Gear, and Shin Megami Tensi and Vay for Mega CD.
3rd Logo (1997- )
Visuals: Over a white background is the blue text "sıms" in a futuristic font, with a pink dot above the "i". Below it was two copies of the pink "s" letter.
Technique: A still, digital graphic.
Audio: None.
Availability: Seen on any SIMS game from the period, beginning with Navi for Sega Saturn.
