Background

SKA Films was a producrion company formed by Matthew Vaughn and Guy Ritchie in 1997. Following the failure of Swept Away in 2003, Ritchie severed his ties with the company; Vaughn then formed Marv Films afterwards.

Logo (August 28, 1998-2003)

Visuals: On a black background, a red mark flashes in. Then, a line fades in along with the letters "S","K", and an "A", with the red mark through the middle line in that letter. After that, the word "FILMS" fades in below the line. The letters all glow throughout the logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A "whoosh" sound that sounds like a sword when the red mark flashes, then changes into a guitar solo with drums later on. This is a sample of the main theme (unofficially called "Bass") from Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, composed by John Murphy.

Audio Variant: On the pan-and-scan transfer found on the 1999 Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels DVD, only the "whoosh" is heard, with the music playing over the Summit Entertainment credit.

Availability: Seen on Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.
