Background

Saban Brands was established by Haim Saban through Saban Capital Group (SCG) after re-acquiring the rights to the Power Rangers franchise (as well as all the Power Rangers-related series) from The Walt Disney Company on May 12, 2010; Disney previously acquired his former company Saban Entertainment (as part of a deal that included the rest of Fox Family Worldwide) in 2001 and reincorporated it as "BVS Entertainment". Saban would later acquire Paul Frank in 2010 and re-acquired the international rights to the Digimon franchise (including its English dubs) on September 25, 2012 as well as other properties such as Popples and My Pet Monster.
