Background

Sakura Eigasha, founded in 1955, has a rich history in film production, initially gaining recognition with feature films and educational works like "With My Big Sister," which won the Grand Prix at the Venice International Film Festival. Over the years, the company has diversified its portfolio, focusing on cultural heritage, fine arts, traditional crafts, and scientific subjects. They also ventured into overseas reporting in the late 1960s and have produced unique short animations and various industrial and public relations films. In recent times, Sakura Eigasha has expanded its efforts to include theatrical films, television programs, and web videos, continuing to uphold a commitment to high-quality storytelling and creativity.
