Logo description by TheBigLogoFan2
(1989-1994, 1998)
Note: The logo starts at 0:38.
Logo: We see a picture of the Earth, with all the Sanrio characters circling around it. The characters begin to sparkle, before turning into a stream of lights that starts to curve away from the planet. Switching to another camera angle, we see the light stream up close, as words sparkle and begin to form, then zoom out, settling in place center screen: "Sanrio Animation Series." As this happens, Hello Kitty is seen on screen towards the end of this video, waving a magic wand to make a heart shape appear in lights, before she disappears. The text turns pink and a star appears on the first E of "Series".
Variant: On English-dubbed versions of their shorts, only the end part is seen.
FX/SFX: Cel animation.
Music/Sounds: A timpani hit with a cresenting piano arpeggio, that turns into a charmy fanfare with sparkles. The English variant had no sounds.
Availability: Used to appear on Hello Kitty OVAs. The logo made a surprise appearance on Hello Kitty's first Christmas Cake (1998).
