Satellite News Channel was an American short-lived news cable television channel that was operated as a joint venture between the ABC Video Enterprises division of ABC and the Group W Satellite Communications subsidiary of Westinghouse Broadcasting Company. It ceased operations on October 27, 1983. Most local cable systems replaced the channel with either CNN or, more commonly, CNN Headline News.

Visuals: On a black background is the channel's initials "SNC" in a futuristic-esque font with part of it surrounded in a yellow outline. A small yellow streak is seen orbiting over it towards the right before fully swinging away on-screen, turning the outline into a silver texture. The initials then shine, revealing the full channel's name in white wiping in.
Variant: A still version exists, modified where the logo (the channel's initials) is in a solid color.
Technique: Cel animation.
