Not to be confused with the Sony-owned Screen Gems.

(October 23, 1968-1971)

Logo: On a red surface, we see a defocused view of a shining emerald. The camera then focuses into view and moves behind the emerald. We then fade into another view of the red surface from before, however, there's more emeralds seen around and the yellow words "SCREEN GEMS" and "(MADRAS)" zoom into view.

Technique: A mix of rostrum camera and camera-controlled animation for the emeralds, cel animation for the text zooming.

Audio: A dramatic string note with some mallet notes.

Availability: Seen on Sapno Ka Saudagar and Aansoo Aur Muskan.
