Background

Screen Queensland is the film agency of Queensland.



1st Logo (May 23, 2010-July 27, 2013)

Visuals: On a black background, there are five teal triangles that form some kind of star. The text "Screen Queensland" is placed next to the symbol.

Variant: An in-credit variant exists, which appeared on The Tree and Machete Maidens Unleashed!.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Audio Variant: On The Tree and Machete Maidens Unleashed!, the closing theme plays over it.

Availability: So far, it has appeared on The Tree, Machete Maidens Unleashed!, and Patrick.

2nd Logo (August 14, 2014-2017)

Visuals: On a black background, there's the previous logo in silver with three spotlights, and a shadow underneath the logo. The camera zooms in for a while before fading to black.

Variant: On Predestination, the logo is in 2D and without spotlights and shadows. Also, the color is changed to a cyan/grey gradient.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A 6-note orchestral fanfare with a 3-note trumpet note, and a drumroll.

Audio Variant: Sometimes, there's silence or the program's opening score.

Availability: Seen on My Mistress, Predestination and other films from the company until 2017.

3rd Logo (November 10, 2016-)


Visuals: On a dark blue background, multiple squares start to appear. More squares appear, and they keep getting faster. A set of many blue/green gradient squares form a stylized squared border with a tiny square in the lower-right corner, making an appearence that looks like an 8-bit "Q". Some white outline squares appear, under the "Q", and then disappear. Suddenly, some pixelated text that reads "screen queensland" wipes in and starts to get clear. At the end, the logo slides to the left and a line wipes in, where the Queensland Government logo fades in on the right side.

Variants:

  • A still variant exists.
  • On certain films like Daisy Quokka: World's Scariest Animal, the background is black instead.
  • An in-credit variant exists.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A deep synthesizer theme, followed by a few beeping sounds, and a whoosh sound when the "Q" is formed.

Availability: Taken from their movies produced and funded by the company, such as The Butterfly Tree, Black Water: Abyss, The Wishmas Tree, Combat Wombat, Daisy Quokka: World's Scariest Animal, among any others.
