Background
Shamley Productions was filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock's production company. It was named after the British village of Shamley Green, where the Hitchcocks owned a country retreat.
1st Logo (1955-1965)
Nickname(s): "The Alfred Hitchcock Silhouette"
Logo: Basically an in-credit logo, with "SHAMLEY PRODUCTIONS, INC.", typically on a grey background. After a few seconds, a black silhouette of Alfred Hitchcock fades in behind the in-credit logos featured. The featured logos then fade away simultaneously, leaving the silhouette behind.
Variants:
- Starting from 1958, at the time when Revue Studios changed their logo, "SHAMLEY PRODUCTIONS, INC." was replaced with "A SHAMLEY PRODUCTION", and was shifted to the top of the screen.
