Background
Show Biz Inc. was a television production company involved in multiple country-related programs. Around 1975, the company became a subsidiary of Holiday Inns, Inc.
(1961-January 1, 1982)
Logo: Superimposed into the end credits of the show is a white box resembling a minimalist TV set containing the fancy, stacked text "Show Biz INC.". Two half-pieced flower shapes are attached to the box while the whole symbol has a white border around it. The text "produced by" is above the logo whereas the bottom text reads "A subsidiary of Holiday Inns, Inc".
Variants:
- The size of the logo may vary.
- Beginning around 1980, the logo was animated. Here, the flower pieces wipe in, forming a full flower before the top text "Produced & Distributed by" wipes in on the top. Then, the flowers open wider, revealing the white box border in which the TV set-like shape zooms in and fills in most of the empty space, followed by the company name stretching in and the copyright year in Roman numerals to wipe in underneath.
- Sometimes, the logo was seen in gold and alternate shades of said color and gray.
- On The Porter Wagner Show, WSM-TV's in-credit notice appears below the logo.
- 1977 episodes of Pop! Goes the Country features the logo with a thicker border and the byline in one row.
FX/SFX:
- None for most of the variants.
- The animated version uses Scanimate effects.
Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.
Availability: Rare; was seen on The Porter Wagner Show and Pop! Goes the Country, which can be seen on reruns on RFD-TV.
