Background

Sistema Sandinista De Television (English: Sandinista Television System) or S.S.T.V. was the state operated television system in Nicaragua. It was run by the socialist revolutionary group FSLN (Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional, English: Sandinista National Liberation Front) after they overthrew the government in 1979 until 1990.

Logo: Set on the EBU colour bars background is superimposed text, reading the company name in a stacked format, black, and a white outline, and "S.S.T.V." underneath. The latter text blinks on and off for the entire sequence.
