Sixteen South is a company that creates, produces and distributes television for children in every home in every country around the world. Founded in Belfast in 2007 by Colin Williams, they currently employ over 100 people and have partnered with major names in children's entertainment.
1st Logo (April 5, 2008-November 5, 2017)
Visuals: On a light green background with dark green stripes, the script text "Sixteen South" spins quickly, with "Sixteen" first and "South" next. A red TV with a yellow screen and an antenna at the top spins in when the dark green stripes are in the center, while the script turns pine green.
Variants:
- At the start of their showreel, the logo is sped up, and the TV quickly zooms to the screen at the end. There are also some transitions including the same background with the same TV, as well as a closing version which the script text's animation is slightly edited, starting with the green text, then the text disappearing, then the text's animation playing as normal.
- An in-credit version with dark grey text that shares the screen with other logos, exists.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: The ending theme of the show. On their showreel, a guitar theme with an Irish female announcer saying "We're Sixteen South! We love-" (the voiceover goes throughout the entire reel).
Availability: It first debuted as an in-credit variant on Sesame Tree. The animated version was seen on their 2014 showreel, Lily's Driftwood Bay, and Jim Henson's Pajanimals, where it is intact on uploads of the series on the Jim Henson's Family Hub YouTube channel.
