Background
SkyVision Entertainment was a Canadian television company founded by Brian K. Ross. In 1995, it was bought by former Alliance employee Jay Firestone and was rebranded to Fireworks Entertainment.
Logo (August 16, 1992-November 26, 1994)
Visuals: On a black background, a large lavender-tinted light is seen glowing just off-center, surrounded by the outlines of "SKYVISION" in an ornate font at the bottom, and a crescent moon with a "face" pointing downwards and rays of varying lengths extending upwards from the top of it. The light dies down to reveal it was a orbiting black cube, with lavender-tinted 5-pointed stars emitting light on each face, and the outlines brighten and shimmer as "SKYVISION" fills in with a metallic texture. The cube dots the first "I" as well. Below, a blue line fades in and "E N T E R T A I N M E N T" is seen below it. The logo shines as the cube flashes briefly one last time before fading to black.
Variants:
- On RoboCop: The Series, "Produced By" and copyright information are seen above and below the logo.
- On Blu-ray and streaming prints of the series, the logo is cropped to fit widescreen (despite the episodes being shown in 4:3), cutting off the copyright info in the process.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: The closing theme of the show.
Availability: Seen on the NBC primetime program Secret Service and the 1994 RoboCop TV adaptation.
