Background

Skydance Television is the television division of Skydance Media (formerly Skydance Productions), launched in 2013. It didn't use an on-screen logo until 2014.

(July 27, 2014-)

Nickname: "The Front of the Sun on TV"

Logo: We see a flash of light that dims to reveal a shortened version of the 2010 Skydance Productions logo, and "TELEVISION" replaces "PRODUCTIONS". There is also a trademark symbol next to the N in "TELEVISION".

FX/SFX: The flash of light revealing a short version of the movie logo. Like its movie counterpart, it's done by Picturemill.

Music/Sounds: The last 4 notes of the theatrical logo's fanfare by Pinar Toprak.

Availability: Common. First seen on Manhattan and the Netflix series Grace and Frankie and other series from Skydance Television.

Editor's Note: Skydance still used the 2010 logo for television even after the movie logo was updated in 2016. Only time will tell if this gets updated to the brand new 2021 look or not.
