Background

Skyworks Interactive is a video game company founded in 1995 by former Activision employees Garry Kitchen and David Crane. They company is known for many of its online "advergames" for companies such as Nabisco and Post.

Background

1st Logo (2003-2006)

Logo: We see the Skyworks logo from below on top of two cogs that are connected. On the left side of the screen, the words “SKYWORKS technologies” slowly descend until they’re next to the S circle.

FX/SFX: The text.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Found on Skyworks games designed for the GameBoy Advance.

Editor's Noteː None.

2nd Logo (2003-2004)

Logo: On a black background, we see a blue circle with an S on it falling down from the top of the screen. It stops in the middle, as after that, the words “SKYWORKS” appear with a small “technologies” on the bottom, and the website’s URL under that. The blue circle then shines.

Variants:

  • Depending on where the game was downloaded from, another company's logo may be shown on top. The website's URL is also omitted.
  • On Pin High Country Golf Club, a small “made with Macromedia” box appears on the bottom.

FX/SFX: The blue circle falling, the text, the shining.

Music/Sounds: A slow, somber-sounding orchestral tune.

Availability: Rare. This was used on Skyworks games for the PC. The only two games known to have used this logo are Pin High Country Club Golf and Ten Pin Championship Bowling Pro. Both can be found around archive.org. It is currently unknown if there are any other games to have used this logo.

Editor's Note: None.

3rd Logo (2005-2009)

Logo: On a black/blue gradient background, we see the same Skyworks logo from the first logo, except only the cog underneath the circle is show.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The opening theme of the game, or none.

Availability: Can be seen on Skyworks games for mobile devices. Also seen on Arcade Bowling for the Nintendo DSi.

Editor's Note: None.
