Background

Sony Music International is the worldwide distribution arm of Sony Music Entertainment.

1st Logo (2000s)

Visuals: An orange wireframe sphere zooms out while it is spinning, later coming to a stop while it still zooms out. A laser then turns the sphere blue, as it ends up on the bottom of it, dropping down like a raindrop, making a bright ripple that turns into four outlined circles, one bigger than the other. A light then forms the black text "Sony Music International", which then shines and turns white.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A dark humming sound, with a whoosh when the globe zooms out, and weapon-like sounds when the laser passes through, followed by some sort of a muffled sound. Then we hear electricity when the light forms the text, and then a stone clashing sound.

Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]

2nd Logo (2000s)

Visuals: On a black background, the text "Sony Music" in white, glowing blue, quickly zooms out. A ripple then occurs as the logo zooms into view briefly.

Technique: Simple animation.

Audio: A pounding sound.

Availability: It was seen on Sony Music VCDs/DVDs distributed in Taiwan.
