1st ID (September 2, 1997-February 29, 2000, September 11, 2001-January 31, 2006)
Visuals: On a color-changing background (a la Paramount Home Entertainment's "Acid Trip" warning screen) is yellow text (in the Lemonade Bold font) that reads:

Variant: Starting with Elmo's World: Wild Wild West!, the ID plays at a faster rate.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio:
- On 1997-1998 videos, a jazzy flute theme combined with violins is heard. This is actually the theme song to the Sesame Street home video "William Wegman's Mother Goose".
- On 1999-2000 videos, the ending of the 1969-1992 Sesame Street closing theme is heard. Later tapes have this ID completely silent.

Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: An instrumental version of the theme song from the Sesame Street video "Elmocize".
Availablity: Seen on the 1998 VHS releases of Elmopalooza!, The Great Numbers Game, and The Alphabet Jungle Game. This lasted shorter than its ending counterpart.
3rd ID (1999, May 2, 2000-May 15, 2001)
Visuals: Over a light blue background is the following text in a blue Helvetica font:
