In October 2007, following many failed attempts at producing a new Sooty series for ITV, HIT Entertainment put the company up for sale. Britt Allcroft re-acquired Mumfie in March 2008, while Richard Cadell acquired the Sooty property under his company Cadells Limited in June 2008, ending the guise of Sooty Limited for how it was.
