Background

Right after a management buyout by Neil Balvades, the head of the Taft-Hardie group in 1988, the home video division, Taft Video was renamed into Southern Star Video to reflect its owner, Southern Star Entertainment. CIC Video continues to distribute the titles, with some titles being distributed by Rainbow Entertainment. The division however shut down for good in 1994.

Logo (1990-1994)

Visuals: It's just the 1989 Southern Star Entertainment logo, but with "VIDEO" underneath the logo.

Technique: Same as the 1989 logo.

Audio: None.

Availability: Has been spotted on Australian VHS releases of the Timeless Tales from Hallmark series distributed by Rainbow Entertainment. It was also seen on the 1990 Australian VHS rerelease of Oliver and the Artful Dodger, Meet the Feebles and Hanna-Barbera shows.
