Background

Space TV was a Canadian channel launched in 1997 under the ownership of CHUM Limited, which was taken over by CTV in 2007, later operated by Bell Media after it replaced CTV in 2011. The channel was renamed to CTV Sci-Fi Channel in 2020.

1st Logo (1997-2005)

Logo: The Space logo appears during ending credits.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: Ending theme.

Availability: Appears on the first and second seasons of Tripping the Rift.

2nd Logo (2005-2013)

Logo: We see the then-current Space logo slowly zooming out, surrounded by electronic grid and green sparks. The grid is removed after a second.

Trivia: This was done by Rubberpixel, who was responsible for Space's on-air identity from 2005.

Variant: A print version exists on several shows.

FX/SFX: The logo flashing.

Music/Sounds: Computer jingles and beeps of all kinds.

Availability: Appears on Defying Gravity, Sanctuary and other original broadcasting. The still version appeared on the third season of Tripping the Rift.
