Background
Spartina Productions is Stephen Colbert's company. While they were founded in 1999, they didn't use a logo until 2005.
Logo (October 17, 2005-)
Visuals: On a white background with black drawings, a poorly drawn crane is shown with some randomly drawn lines on either side, and a pond is shown below. A fish jumps out of the pond to the left of the crane, and then proceeds to eat the crane before falling back into the pond. The screen then cuts to a black background with the white text "SPARTINA".
Trivia: This logo was animated by J.J. Sedelmaier. Colbert personally requested Sedelmaier to create the logo.
Variant: In its early days, the text at the end read "SPA171MA", which is leet for "Spaitima".
Technique: Hand-drawn animation.
