Background
Spartina Productions is Stephen Colbert's company. While they were founded in 1999, they didn't use a logo until 2005.

Visuals: On a white background with black drawings, we see a poorly drawn crane with some randomly drawn lines on either side, and a pond below. A fish jumps out of the pond to the left of the crane, and then proceeds to eat the crane before falling back into the pond. We then cut to a black background with the white text "SPARTINA".
Trivia: This logo was animated by J.J. Sedelmaier. Stephen Colbert personally requested Sedelmaier to create the logo.
Variant: In its early days, the text at the end read "SPA171MA", which is leet for "Spaitima".
Technique: Hand-drawn animation.
Audio: Nature sounds, accompanied by a gobbling sound as the fish eats the crane and a splash sound when the fish goes back underwater.
Availability: First seen on The Colbert Report and later appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!, Our Cartoon President, Tooning Out the News, Hell of A Week with Charlamagne tha God, Fairview, and the failed pilot Old News with Opus Moreschi.
