Background

Spectra Animation was a Canadian production company owned by L'Équipe Spectra, founded in 2000. The company was responsible for projects like Toopy and Binoo, Kid Paddle, and Fred's Head. In 2012, Spectra Animation, along with the cinema and television divisions of L'Équipe Spectra, were bought from the company in 2012 and later that year, it was folded into Echo Media.

Logo (January 3, 2005-July 6, 2008)


Visuals: On a yellow background, four long, green blob-like creatures with a single eye each look up to the top of the screen, set in front of a slanted black box with the company's name above. "SPECTRA" is in red in Scuba Web Black, while "ANIMATION" is in pale yellow in Kidprint. A fifth creature identical to the other four drops down next to them, and then they slam themselves onto the box as their eyes roll, revealing themselves to be an alien hand.

Variants:

  • A 16:9 version appears on Fred's Head.
  • On certain mini-movies and spin-off episodes of the Toopy and Binoo brand, the logo's background is a light yellow color.

Technique: Digital 2D animation.
