Background
Star TV formed in 1989 as Turkey's first private nationwide channel. The channel's currently owned by the Dogus Media Group since 2011. Before renaming to Star TV the station has been referred to as Star Magic Box during 1989-1992 and InterStar during 1992-2002.
Magic Box Star 1
ID (1990-1992)
Visuals: A purple star falls down to Earth, flipping vertically as it does so. It shoots a small orange beam at Turkey's approximate geographical center, to which several multicolored signal beams expand outwards. The camera flips itself upward vertically, which positions the Earth out of view and the beams in a horizontally flat position. The star continues flipping as it zooms out, then, once the last signal beam is produced, the camera flies upwards as the star follows direction before placing itself on the bottom right corner. "STAR", written in purple blocky letters, individually zoom out from the bottom whilst rotating, placing themselves left of the star. A red curvy line rapidly draws itself in from the left, crossing over the text and star. The logo abruptly flashes with light blue as a red "1" appears over the star.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A synth arpeggio which evolves into a dramatic theme.
InterStar
ID (1992-mid/late 1990s)
Visuals: An extreme closeup of a metallic violet lowercase "s" pans downward to the right. Five yellow circles slide from the right and individually flip vertically once reaching the center. The "s" begins to move upwards as "inter" in turquoise zooms out, leaving behind a trail. Four gold circles slide in from the right, each of them having one letter spelling "star" carved out. A dark purple star flies from the bottom left corner to the top right before the four circles disappear and the "s" moves upwards to the left. White 3D text reading "star" slowly falls from the top and places itself at the bottom, followed with the five yellow circles, now each with a letter spelling "inter", appearing from the left and stopping next to the former (with the last circle being overlapped). An orange rectangle zooms out, followed with an incomplete outline of the lowercase "s", to which both place themselves in the center. A purple star fades in on the left of the "s" outline just before the background fades away.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A crescendoing fanfare.
Star TV
1st ID (2002-2004)
Visuals: A silver crystal-textured star outline is seen as a red ribbon flies from the top front of the screen. More ribbons (blue, green, yellow and orange) start to fly towards or around the star as the red ribbon leaves a "trail" that draws the S in. The S flashes as "star" in red appears beneath before the ribbons fly offscreen and the star sparkles.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A synth arpeggio with strings transitioning into a majestic piano fanfare.
2nd ID (2004-2006)
