Background

Stoll Pictures was a British film production and distribution company founded in April 1918. It was one of the largest of its kind in Great Britain during the early to mid-1920s, most notably for its Fu Manchu and Sherlock Holmes film series.

1st Logo (April 8, 1921)

• Opening: On a white background, there are two globes standing on the plaque that contain the letters "SFC" inside each globe. Inside the plaque is the text

in an art-deco Ancient Roman font. There is a line below the letters "TD" in "LTD."

• Closing: On a black background, within a thin rectangular box are three topless women wearing a tutu bowing down and standing on a staircase. They are behind a shaded, wireframe globe with the large ribbon text "S•F•C" placed on its center and arched upwards. Two long hanging plants are seen next to the globe.

Availability: So far, it's only known to be seen on The Dying Detective.

2nd Logo (November 23, 1923-August 1924)

Visuals: On a black background, two Roman soldiers are on the left and right sides of the screen standing on a pedestal and holding a wireframe globe containing a ribbon that reads "S•F•C". In the centre, the text is "The Stoll Picture Productions Ltd., present" in a stacked format.
