Background

This was a vanity card used by Steve Blauner, the executive producer for the television series New Monkees, a short-lived reboot of The Monkees that ran for only 13 weeks in first-run syndication (a tie-in album also failed to make any charts), all while the original Monkees were enjoying a resurgence in popularity.

Visuals: A light blue dumpster with brown spots and a black top slightly spray-painted white is seen outside a unknown building. On the dumpster are these words in a jumbled manner:

STRAYBERT
PRODUCTIONS

The text is in a black stencil font. The wind blows at several black streamers on the dumpster as a man (possibly Steve Blauner) briefly pokes his head out from the lids, looks around the area, and then gets back in.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: 2 cartoony plucking sounds, one lower pitched than the other, for the man turning his head, and then a hatch shutting sound.

Availability: Seen only on New Monkees.
