Background
Strike Entertainment was an American film company that was founded in 2002 by Marc Abraham, Thomas Bliss and Eric Newman, with Universal Pictures as its main distributor. The company was shuttered in March 2013.
Logo (March 19, 2004-February 12, 2014)
Visuals: The logo starts on a red background. Then, the camera zooms out where it has a red rectangle with green outline. More pieces flies out on a white wall background. Finally, the pieces form the black word "STRIKE" with green outline inside a red rectangle. The logo then fades to black.
Variants:
- At the end of The Last Exorcism Part II, the logo is next to the StudioCanal logo.
- On the 2004 version of Dawn of the Dead (the first film to contain this logo), the logo melts into lava.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: None, or the opening theme of the film.
Audio Variant: Sometimes, there is a string orchestral fanfare. This fanfare is probably unused.
Availability: It debuted on the 2004 Dawn of the Dead, and was last seen on the 2014 version of RoboCop. The company's first two movies, The Rundown and Bring It On Again, use no logo.
