Background
Zespół Filmowy Zodiak, also known later as Studio Filmowe Zodiak was a Polish film studio founded in 1980.
(1981-1992)
Logo: On a blue starry background, we see all of the zodiac signs in white zooming at us one by one. When one zodiac sign appears (excluding the first one), a ring emits behind the symbol. These zodiac signs include in order:
- Aries
- Taurus
- Gemini
- Cancer
- Leo
- Virgo
- Libra
- Scorpio
- Sagittarius
- Capricorn
- Aquarius
- Pisces
When the Pisces symbol gets close enough, the line in the center stretches inwards and outwards, forming the company's name, and the word "PRZEDSTAWIA" all stacked on top of each other.
Variants:
- Most of the variants have different tones, such as blue, sepia, B&W, light green, dark green, etc.
- From 1991 and onwards, the text "Zespół Filmowy", is replaced with the text "Studio Filmowe".
FX/SFX: The zodiac signs zooming in and the stretching of the text, all in 2D & Cel Animation.
Music/Sounds: A quiet bell sound, followed by a high pitched breeze, ending with a sound of a gong.
Availability: Uncommon, though at times is rare for the other variants, was seen on multiple films, such as: Znachor, Okolice Spokojego Morza, Bilek, Karate Po Polsku, and others.
Legacy: Despite the strange sounds and animation, this logo is pretty unique and fitting for the company name. This can also be considered as one of the scariest Polish logos, due to the ominous & unique animation, & the eerie sounds.
